Ambactos Bessui (Servant of the Custom)

Delgaunos and Gutuatir: Branos Carnutodrûidion

Within Bessus Nouiogalation, the Custodian of the Bessus serves as a steward of our living custom. This role is one of care, responsibility, and devotion—upholding the rites, tending the patterns of the tradition, and supporting the spiritual well-being of the Toutâ. The Custodian does not stand above the community but within it, preserving the flow of the Bessus so it may continue for generations.

Branos Carnutodrûidion is the co-founder and Gutuatir of Bessus Nouiogalation. His work centers on safeguarding the custom, developing rites, clarifying teachings, and ensuring the continuity of the tradition for those who walk the path of the New Galatis. He approaches this role as an act of service, grounded in virtue, humility, and devotion to the Dêuoi and the ancestors.

A longstanding contributor to the modern Gaulish Revival, Branos has worked across multiple Gaulish-focused spaces in research, reconstruction, and community formation. His focus remains the restoration of Gaulish spirituality through living practice, ethical cultivation, and right relationship within the world.

His responsibilities within the tradition include tending the rites, supporting practitioners when guidance is sought, and keeping the Bessus consistent, balanced, and accessible, along with maintaining the website. His service is rooted in the understanding that the tradition belongs not to one person but to the Toutâ, carried forward by all who walk it with sincerity and honor.
