Gaulish Polytheism, Gaulish Paganism

Our Discord serves as the hearth of our gatherings (basically our forum) and an extension of this site — a place for members (Toution) to share, connect, and take part in the ongoing work of building our custom. We are a Gaulish-focused server, and we ask that this focus be respected. Many of us draw inspiration from different paths and practices, and that’s perfectly fine — but here, Gaulish comes first.

The community centers on the custom of Bessus Nouiogalation, though all Gaulish paths are welcome, so long as our space and focus are respected. For those among the many Galatonta (Gaulish paths), and even those from outside traditions, we have a role for you — Caranð, meaning “friend.”

We’re a fairly relaxed group — not a high-traffic server like many others — but that’s because Gaulish tradition is a niche pursuit. What we value most is sincerity, respect, and shared curiosity. We are also an inclusive community. Bigotry of any kind will result in immediate removal — no warnings, no questions. Our space is for open-hearted seekers, not gatekeepers. So don’t let the Carnux sound fool you — you’ll find friends here.

Events Guide

We also use the Discord space for our meetings and celebrations. Most of these events are open to the Caranð, as we value transparency and enjoy showing how our customs are lived, practiced, and built.

To let us know you’re attending an event, please RSVP in the events channel, under where the events are posted. Most events begin once everyone who selected “Yes” has arrived. RSVP is very important—it lets us gauge interest and know when to start.

Note: Almost all events in BNG follow the Coligny Calendar, not the Gregorian.

Below is a guide to our regular events and what typically happens during each:

Comretâ (Monthly Meetings)
Every month we hold a Comreton (plural: Comretâ). These are our monthly meetings, traditionally scheduled around the full moon (7th–9th of the Coligny month), though sometimes moved later due to îuoi (holidays) or other events.

  • Greeting period as members gather.
  • Opening Uēdiās (prayers), dedicated to a different Dêuos each month, cycling yearly.
  • Business portion: planning projects and events, raising questions, comments, or propositions.
  • Casual portion: relaxed conversation and community time.

Îuoi (Holidays)
Our holidays are called îuoi (singular: îuos).
Start Times (approx.):

3–4 pm Eastern (US & CAN)

12–1 pm Pacific (US & CAN)

8–9 pm GMT

9–10 pm CET

  • Greeting and preparation time.
  • The rite usually begins 45–75 minutes after the start (depending on host readiness and RSVP arrivals).
  • Rite is followed by casual time—conversation, fellowship, and celebration, much like an offline holiday gathering.

Condatis Bardon (Gathering of the Bards)
Held roughly every three months. A space where members share music, poetry, and art.

All arts welcome: songs, poems, drawings, paintings, fiber arts, etc.,
All skill levels welcome.

Uediâ Gatherings (Group Invocations)
BNG maintains a cycle of daily Adaððoues rites. Occasionally, members may wish to host a group uediâ.

Begins once all who RSVP have arrived.,
May or may not be followed by casual conversation.
